Fortune Technology Group of Companies with its trading wing, Focus Industries, was formed on the 15th of August in the year 1991, with the intention to import goods from China, Taiwan and the local Hong Kong market and export them to the untapped Eastern European market. The aim to focus on the Eastern European countries was the vital factor since the trade barriers were rapidly being removed and the legeslation in these countries regarding imported goods were becoming less restrictive as the fall of communism was on its rampant and speedy stage. In recent years, this process of transforming from a centrally-planned economy to a market-oriented system through liberalization and privatization has led to a substantial relaxation over the controls of foriegn goods. This has become more apparent in Russia, a country which currently accounts for the 25% of our total sales and in which we expect to continually grow in the coming years. With expansion in mind, we recently ventured out in textile business plus the continues effort in expanding through trade exhibitions.
